NEED SUPPORT WITH PERSONAL PROPERTY INVENTORY?

Took advantage of  our FREE app download, but not exactly sure where to start? With VaVault, all the necessary information is right in the palm of your hand!  All the information you need to get around the VaVault app and start your property inventory is located below. How do I download the app?

Download the app from the App Store here. Click on the download button and it will start the download process and installation. The VaVault app is currently available for iPhone and iPad with an Android version coming soon.

How do I sign up for an account?

After you’ve downloaded the app, you can either sign up with Facebook or click the “Sign Up” button and fill out the information to create an account. You can then use the same account across your devices. You can even manage your personal property inventory on the website.

How do I add a new item?

Click the VaVault icon in the upper left hand corner which will bring up the user menu. Then, find the “My Vault” link and click it. This will bring up the new item screen where you can put in an item title, description, receipt and capture a photo in app. When you’re done, just click “save item” and you can move on to adding another item.

How do I send an alert to my network?

When your item is lost or stolen, that’s when all this handy information you entered comes in. You now have proof of ownership for insurance companies in your personal property inventory, pictures stored to share with VaVault users and friends on social media, and serial number information. All of this info is vital.

To send out an alert, go to My Vault and select the item that was lost or stolen. When your item comes up, scroll down to the bottom and click “create an alert.” You’ll then select your alert type, fill out a description with any information related to the loss, last known location and other info. You can even set a reward amount if you’d like to offer a reward for your item.

After you’ve filled out your alert information fully, click “Post Alert” and your alert will go out into the VaVault network!

Where are badges?

VaVault badges are earned by completing certain tasks like posting your first item, scanning your first code, adding receipts to items, adding multiple items and more. We will continue adding awards as we develop the app further.

What is the news feed?

The news feed in your app is where other VaVault user alerts will show up. So, when you get new alerts, you can be on the lookout for these items and post to your social networks to help find lost or stolen items. This feed will update every time a user in your area posts an alert.

How do I manage subscriptions?

Go into your VaVault settings and click “manage subscription.” Here you have access to purchase premium subscriptions that offer more features to help you get the most out of your VaVault app. You can also purchases QR code labels and redeem subscription codes.

How do I change my password?

Under profile settings, you can change your password. You’ll need to enter your current password and confirm your new password twice.

I'm receiving alerts from VaVault users outside my area. What do I do?

Under VaVault settings, go “Profile Settings” and scroll down so you can customize categories you see as well as your alert range. You can set a range as low as 5 miles from your position to 100 miles or more.
